Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry condemns Indian aggression at line of control

Lahore, November 24, 2016 (PPI-OT): The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday strongly condemned Indian aggression at Line of Control and urged the international community to restrain India from continuous violation of International laws. In a statement issued here, the LCCI President Abdul Basit, Senior Vice President Amjad Ali Jawa and Vice President Muhammad Nasir Hameed Khan said that violation at Line of Control by the unbridled Indian security forces in not tolerable and Indian government should well aware of the fact that Pakistan has abilities and all resources to give a strong reply.

“India is intestinally targeting the residential areas of Pakistan. European Union, United Nations and Organization of Islamic Countries should take prompt action against Indian aggression at Line of Control and in Kashmir as it is an attempt to spoil the peace in South Asia. If war starts then its deadly affects would not be restrained to just South Asia”, the LCCI office-bearers said.

They said that business community has serious concern on the alarming situation at Line of Control. They said that brutal killing of innocent people is not acceptable for the Pakistani nation. “Irresponsible act of Indian government raising alarm bells for prospects of peace and tranquillity in otherwise volatile region. The growing tension, caused by Indian provocative policy, is not a good sign as confrontation between two nuclear powers could lead mass destruction.”

The LCCI office-bearers said that naked Indian aggression along the LoC resulting in the martyrdom of innocent civilians, including children and women. No responsible state can permit targeting innocent civilians in general and ambulances carrying the injured in particular.”

They accused India of trying to divert the attention of the international community from the grave human rights violations and atrocities being committed by its troops in held Kashmir. They said Pakistan would never abandon their Kashmiri fellows and continue to support them in their just and legitimate struggle for their right to self-determination in accordance with the UN resolutions.

While lauding the government and the security forces of Pakistan for giving strong reply to the Indian aggression, the LCCI office-bearers urged the government to take international community on board and launch a strong campaign against naked Indian aggression.
