Least Developed Countries badly affected by climate change: PM

Islamabad, March 05, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is in Doha, Qatar to participate in Fifth United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries. Shehbaz Sharif, in a tweet, has said that he will share Pakistan’s perspective on the socio-economic challenges facing Least Developed Countries in Asia and Africa.

 

He said Least Developed Countries have been badly affected by climate change, post-pandemic and geo-strategic disruption in food and energy supply chains and these global events have left them vulnerable. The Prime Minister said Least Developed Countries will be better served by putting welfare of people at the center of public policy.
