Prime Minister’s Advisor on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam has said that Prime Minister’s Protected Area Initiative will help protect nature, promote tourism and generate jobs in the country.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, he said fifteen national parks have been identified, across Pakistan, and will be declared as Model National Parks.
He said a National Parks Service will be established under which five thousand young people will be recruited and trained to regulate Eco-tourism in these parks.
The Advisor said communities, living in these parks, will be engaged on conservation of natural beauty of the country, endangered species, and hiring of youth for National Parks Service.
Malik Amin Aslam said the government is committed to conserve nature for the current and the future generations by establishing National parks and has earmarked four billion rupees for the purpose.
