Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed deep concern over incidents of child abuse and women rape in the country and said the government is determined for logical conclusion of Motorway gang rape case and bring the culprits to justice.
He was chairing a high-level meeting regarding law and order in Punjab, availability of essential commodities and their prices and welfare schemes in Lahore today (Tuesday).
Punjab Inspector General of Police briefed on serious crimes including murder, kidnapping, abuse against children and women, sale of narcotics, gambling, occupation mafia and general law and order situation.
The meeting also considered implementing a nationwide Emergency Number and establishing a Central Crime Database. The meeting was briefed regarding Panahgahs and Langarkhana.
The Prime Minister clarified that moving towards a welfare state is the only journey to prosperity of the nation.
