Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has directed the irrigation department to take measures for removal of encroachments over irrigation channels across the province on permanent basis.
Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he directed the department to ensure E-work order and E-bidding for transparency in allotting contracts.
Mahmood Khan said solid steps should be taken for completion of development projects including small dams in the province.
The meeting was informed that work on sixteen projects with an estimated cost of four point seven billion rupees is underway in the merged districts.
Similarly, more than fifteen billion rupees have been allocated in the current ADP for irrigation projects.
