Martyrs’ mission will not go waste: Waza

Srinagar, August 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, kicking off Martyr’s Week in remembrance with Sheikh Abdul Aziz, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), under the chairmanship of party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, organized a peaceful rally from Chattabal Kulgam to main market in Kulgam on Sunday.

Hundreds of people particularly youth participated in the rally and paid rich tributes to Sheikh Abdul Aziz besides raising high-pitched pro-freedom slogans. Mukhtar Waza, while addressing the gathering in Kulgam paid rich tributes to Kashmir martyrs particularly to Sheikh Abdul Aziz who laid his life for the ongoing freedom struggle.

“Sheikh Abdul Aziz was man of principles and a strong advocate of freedom of Kashmir and during his struggle against the India’s illegal occupation and Indian army’s oppression achieved martyrdom, he added.

He said that India and Pakistan, the principal parties of the decades old Kashmir dispute couldn’t prosper till they resolve the dispute amicably and in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people who rendered uncounted sacrifices.

He also expressed solidarity with naïve Palestinians and urged the international community to play effective role in resolving the Palestine and Kashmir dispute. On the occasion, Mukhtar Waza announced that the rallies would continue till August 11.
