Martyrs’ sacrifices centre-staged Kashmir dispute: Shabbir

Srinagar, February 02, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Hurriyet leaders led by Shabbir Ahmad Shah visited Charsoo area of Awantipora to pay tributes to the Kashmiri youth, Aijaz Ahmed and express solidarity with the bereaved family. Aijaz Ahmed was killed by Indian troops in Pulwama, the other day. Shabbir Ahmad Shah addressing a gathering on the occasion said that Kashmiri martyrs had rendered their lives for a sacred cause and their mission would be taken to its logical end at all costs. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs that had centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at international level would not be allowed to go waste.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah urged India to read writing on the wall and settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people. People on the occasion raised high-pitched slogans against India and in favour of freedom.

Hurriyet leaders Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mushtaq-ul-Islam and Muhammad Yousuf Naqash in their addresses said that no dispute could be resolved through use of brute force. They deplored that the unrealistic approach of India towards Kashmir dispute was the main impediment in peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute. The delegation also included Wajahat Qureshi and Muhammad Yasin Aattai.
