Islamabad, September 28, 2018 (PPI-OT): On behalf of Pakistan Navy, being a Tournament organizer I welcome you all at the press conference regarding 2nd Chief of the Naval Staff All Pakistan Hockey Tournament – 2018 which will kick start from 01st October at National Hockey Stadium Lahore till 7th October 2018.
This Tournament represents a continuity of effort and devotion by Pakistan Navy to the cause of promoting Hockey in the country. From the moment the schedule of the 2nd Chief of the Naval Staff All Pakistan Hockey Tournament is announced, there is a craze amongst the Hockey community for getting registered as competitors and participants but then only the skilled ones are eligible.
The Patron is extremely delighted that this Tournament has become an essential part of the National Hockey events since its inception back in 2016 at Karachi. In this event, the Hockey Teams players seek participation, joy and glory and will come forward and demonstrate their playing skill and ability in the premier activity. This time 09 x Hockey teams from across the country are participating in the tournament. The names of teams as follows:

For appreciation of the players, prize money will be given to the winning team and the Runner-up teams whose details are as follows:
Winner Team Rs.500,000/-
First Runner-up Rs.300,000/-
Second Runner-up Rs.200,000/-
Best Player of the Tournament Rs.50,000/-
Best Goal-keeper of the Tournament Rs.25,000/-
Best Scorer of the Tournament Rs.25,000/-
Before I move forward, first let me acknowledge the services of the Lahore National Hockey Stadium management and staff for providing full support in organizing this event and preparing the Hockey ground in a way that the players will be much comfortable.
Pakistan Navy wishes to enhance its association with sports promotion and development. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi NI(M) is a sports lover and whole-heartedly subscribes to the holding of this national Hockey event and wishes the best to all participants.
I must admire that my entire team have vigorously pursued the arrangements to ensure that excellence remains the hallmark of the event.
In the end, I take this opportunity to extend my heartiest appreciation to the management of Hockey Stadium and all sponsors (especially PSO, HBL, Vivo Juice, KPT, National Bank of Pakistan, Netsol, Bahria University, Bahria Foundation, Berger Paint, Adam Milk, Shezan Bakers) who have ensured their all-out support to the team of Station Headquarter Navy in organizing this mega event. Without their support, the Tournament of such a magnitude is very difficult to be organized.
