Karachi, June 07, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC after removing signals on Nazimabad No.7 Shahrah-e-Nawab Siddiq Ali Khan was constructing u-turns on both sides of this location which would help improving traffic flow and traffic jam complains would be resolved to such an extent. Metropolitan Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan said this while visiting Nazimabad no.7 where he was accompanied by Director General Technical Services Niaz Ahmed Soomro, Chief Engineer Asadullah Baloch and officers of Engineering Department.
He said that alternative route would come along the u-turn under Board Office Bridge and come towards Shahrah-e-Nawab Siddiq Ali Khan and road along bridge of Nazimabad no.7 would be linked with Matric Board Office which would provide route to people going towards Orangi Town and adjoining areas such as traffic going towards North Nazimabad would also be liked with an alternative u-turn which would provide facility to traffic going towards Paposh Nagar. Matanat Ali Khan on this occasion said that traffic pressure on Nazimabad no.7 Bridge was increasing and central road has significance for traffic of District Central, District East and District West.
These u-turns would help improving traffic flow of these districts. He directed officers to enhance speed of construction work. He said that modern electric lighting system would also be installed on this location which would be excellent system of lights for traffic. He said this single track system would be used for two way traffic. Along with construction of this road service lane here would also be improved and search lights would be installed as well.
