Minister apprised about low gas pressure

Karachi: Chairman Businessmen Group and former President KCCI Siraj Kassam Teli, Chairman Sindh Board of Investment and former President KCCI Zubair Motiwala and President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mian Abrar Ahmad attended a meeting today in Islamabad on Gas Load Management. They apprised the Dr. Asim Hussain, Petroleum Minister about the colossal production losses owing to KESC’s 12 hours of industrial load-shedding due to low gas pressure.

Petroleum Minister was kind enough to agree GLMP for KESC so that Karachi’s industry will run on both gas as well as electricity supplied by KESC. The GLMP for KESC will be decided by the Petroleum Minister and Finance Minister tomorrow.

Petroleum Minister further gave assurances to maintain required gas pressure to the industries. Siraj Teli requested that in the light of decision of the said meeting the industry will close on two Sundays in the month of December provided that the required gas pressure to the industries shall be maintained for 6-working-days in a week.
