Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination condoles’ death of Syed Amir Hamza Gillani

Islamabad, February 12, 2014 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, conveyed condolence to the family of late Syed Amir Hamza Gillani, Director General, Pakistan Sports Board, who passed away this morning. On this depressing news Minister said that it was a very sad moment for the Department and the entire Ministry.

He further added that DG had served the Board quite efficiently for many years. It will be an uphill task for the next DG to fit into late DGs shoes. Minister had showed his confidence in the abilities and services rendered by late DG for the Department. During their working period together Minister had supported the DG through every thick and thin.

Minister further added that late DG had resolved many issues of Associations amicably DG had served the Department for many years. During his services for the Department many ongoing projects were completed and new projects were inaugurated. Number of sports events increased under his able guidance/supervision.
