Ministers did not occupy rooms in Parliamentarians’ hostel: Spokesman

Peshawar, January 06, 2014 (PPI-OT): The spokesman for the Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has clarified the news item published in section of the press regarding illegal and unlawful occupation of rooms by some provincial ministers and advisors in the MPAs Hostel. Clarifying the factual position, the spokesman said the allotment of residential accommodation to Provincial Ministers and Advisors was not the job of the Assembly Secretariat.

However, Provincial Ministers and Advisors have to make frequent visits to the MPAs hostel, being a safer place, to attend meetings there. The spokesman said the background given in the news item was incorrect and did not match the record. The spokesman further clarified that Assembly Secretariat did not know with such allotment was ever made.
