Mir Farooq Langove, Director General, PSQCA Chaired a meeting in PSQCA Head Quarter

Karachi, March 16, 2023 (PPI-OT): Mir Farooq Langove, Director General, PSQCA Chaired a detailed meetings in PSQCA Head Quarter, Karachi on Quality Control Centre, Conformity Assessment, World Trade Organization (National Enquiry Point), IATR, Legal and Finance wings etc.

The Discussion on total standards and implementation on those standards by industries were main agenda of the meeting and decided that strict action should be taken against the violators were directed by Director General, PSQCA and Short-term, Mid-term and Long-term plans should be prepared to move forward.

In this connection the Field Officers of PSQCA will be fully supported and their safety measures were ensured by Director General, PSQCA. He also included that security forces agencies will also be involved for safeguard and enforcement of standards. The Establishment of Pakistan Single window operation and digitalization of PSQCA-activities regarding licensing to provide ease of doing Business to the private sector.

Crack-down against the defaulters and list of those industries were brought into the notice of Director General, PSQCA. Mir Farooq Langove, has also stated to open PSQCA regional offices in Chaman, Taftan and Gwadar and their Building expense will not be incurred by the Government of Pakistan or Authority’s Budget. The Licensing fee structure was also discussed in meeting. “Increase in coverage will increase Licensing Fee and financially strengthen the organization” Director General, PSQCA said.
