Mirwaiz welcomes proposed meet of Pak, India PMs

Srinagar, September 07, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has welcomed the reports about the proposed meeting between prime ministers of Pakistan and India on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly’s session in New York this month.

The APHC Chairman in a statement in Srinagar said, “We hope the leaders of two nations would revive the talks and bring the dialogue process back on the track. Once that would happen, the two leaders should involve the people of Kashmir actively for finding a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute.” The Mirwaiz said that the two leaders should take steps to deescalate tensions on the Line of Control.
