Miscreants explode two towers of 220 KV Guddu double circuit transmission lines near Chattar district Naseerabad

Lahore, March 31, 2013 (PPI-OT): The spokesman of National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDCL) has said that unknown miscreants exploded two towers of 220 KV Guddu – Sibbi double circuit transmission line near Chattar District Naseerabad. However, NTDCL engineers restored power supply through alternate sources.

The spokesman further said that last night, unknown miscreants exploded two towers, Nos 434 and 435 of 220 kV Guddu-Sibbi double circuit transmission lines near Chattar district Naseerabad. The pylons were badly damaged, resultantly electric supply to some areas of Balochistan was suspended which was restored through alternate sources. However, NTDCL engineers are busy in rehabilitation work since morning. It is pertinent to note that prior to this, the miscreants had carried out the sabotage activity and damaged two electricity pylons in the same area a day earlier also.
