Naqash condemns curbs on Hurriyet leaders’ activities

Srinagar, May 11, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Islamic Political Party Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash has strongly condemned curbs on political activities, right to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression of pro-freedom leaders and activists.

Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the India had virtually converted Kashmir into a large concentration camp where more than seven lakh Indian troops with stringent, brute and draconian laws had unleashed terror and lawlessness.

He said that thousands of Kashmiris including Hurriyet leaders and activists lodged in jails of India and the occupied territory were being provided unhygienic food and denied medical facilities.

The APHC leader said that the Indian government could never succeed in curbing the sentiment and birthright of freedom of people of Kashmir by such oppressive tactics as they were determined to continue the ongoing liberation movement till it reached its logical conclusion.

Naqash expressed deep shock on the sad demise of the grandmother of prominent advocate Mir Shafaqat Hussain and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
