National Under-16 Football Championship: 12 teams will compete with each other to win ultimate title

Lahore, June 06, 2013 (PPI-OT): National U-16 Football Championship, 2013 will commence from 7th June, 2013 at Abbottabad.

According to the press release issued here by PFF. The top 12 teams of the country will compete with each other to win the ultimate title. The first match of the tournament will be played on 8th June, 2013. The 12 teams are divided into 4 (Four) Groups and daily 2 matches will be held till 13th June, 2013.

The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the Quarter Finals which will be played on the 14th June, 2013 and 15th June, 2013. Both Semi –Finals will be played on the 17th June, 2013. The final of the championship will be held on 18th June, 2013.

Total 12 teams will compete in this Championship in which 8 teams are from Provincial/ Regional Teams (Punjab Football Association, KPK Football Association, Balochistan Football Association, Sindh Football Association, Abbottabad District, AJK Football Association, FATA Football Association and Gilget Baltistan Football Association) and 4 Youth Coaches Teams from (Karachi, Quetta, Lahore and Peshawar).

PFF has nominated 4 Top ranked qualified coaches as a member of Technical Study Group (TSG) which are:-

Syed Nasir Ismail 2. Mr.Sajjad Mehmood 3. Mr. Najeebullah Najmi 4. Mr. Ayaz Butt The TSG Group will make a comprehensive technical Analysis report of the matches and tournament. They will be the eyes and ears of the championship. There responsibility is to pick the best players from this championship and to recommend them for the upcoming AFC U-16 Championship (Qualifiers) 2013.

The Abbottabad District Football Association is organizing this mega event.
