Islamabad, August 27, 2018 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Khana police station have busted a gang of dacoits involved in killing two persons over resistance during dacoities and recovered weapons and two stolen bikes from their possession. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Liaqat Hyat Niazi said that Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Najeeb-ur-Rehman Bugvi assigned him special task for arrest of persons involved in dacoities.
He said that a team was constituted under his own supervision which included DSP Shehzad Town, Ashraf Shah, SHO Inspector Haq Nawaz Ranjha, Additional SHO Sub-Inspector Aashiq Ali and others. This team got information about presence of some dacoits in limits of Khana police station and raided there. During raid, these dacoits stated firing on police party but police team managed to arrest them after encounter and retaliation firing.
They have been identified as Faizab, Osama, Ali Temur residents of Islamabad and Wilayat resident of Chinniot. During preliminary investigation, they confessed to murder two persons after firing when they offered resistance to them during dacoity attempts in area of Khana and Sadiqabad police station. They also revealed to snatch more than dozen motorbikes and commit street crime in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. SP (Rural) Liaqat Hyat Niazi sad that they were notorious criminals and police was searching them from a long time. He said that SSP Islamabad Najeeb-ur-Rehman Bugvi has appreciated this performance and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for police team.
