Karachi, January 15, 2020 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Women Development Syeda Shehla Raza on Tuesday said that the steps taken by the Karachi Reporters Forum for the welfare of journalists were praiseworthy. Speaking at the Karachi Reporters Forum (KRF)’s annual awards ceremony held at Sindh Boys Scout Association Auditorium, she said that journalists and politicians have always struggled together for the development and stability of the democracy and country.
Shahla Raza also assured her full support to the Karachi Reporters Forum. Honouring the senior journalists Maqsood Yousafi, Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Afzal Baloch, Khalil Nasir and Zulf Pirzada, she paid tributes to them for their journalistic services. Earlier, President Karachi Reporters Forum Moinullah Shah addressed the ceremony and said that the main purpose of the forum was to inspire senior journalists and encourage young journalists. General Secretary Infas Khokhar highlighted the goals and objectives of the KRF.
Addressing the ceremony, President Karachi Press Club Imtiaz Faran said that KPC was the only press club in the world where the maximum number of women members, which was 154. Later, Provincial Minister Syeda Shehla Raza distributed awards and shields among reporters, cameramen and photographers.
