Islamabad, January 04, 2021 (PPI-OT): Synoptic Situation

A strong westerly wave is present over north-eastern parts of the country and likely to persist in upper parts of the country till Tuesday.

Monday

Rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is expected in Islamabad, upper/central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir. Isolated heavy falls are also expected in north eastern Punjab, Potohar region and Kashmir. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Tuesday

Rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is expected in Islamabad, upper/central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Isolated heavy falls are also expected in north eastern Punjab, Potohar region and Kashmir. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Past 24 Hour Weather

Rain-thunderstorm occurred in Kashmir, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan. Cold and dry weather prevailed over other parts of the country, while very cold in north Balochistan and northern areas.

Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperature’s (°C): Leh -13, Gupis -12, Astore, Kalat -09, Skardu -08, Quetta, Kalam, Bagrote -07, Parachinar -06 and Dalbandin -05.
