Islamabad, January 05, 2021 (PPI-OT): A three member bench of Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmad has directed to remove encroachments from the lands of temples and Gurdawaras. The apex court gave the directions whilst hearing a suo motu case regarding the recent attack on a Hindu temple in Karak.
The bench also sought details from the Evacuee Trust about Temples across the country. The Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police informed the court that one hundred and nine people have been arrested in connection with Karak Temple attack. He said action has also been taken against the police officials.
