Qaim Ali Shah pays surprise visit to Chief Minister Secretariat to see performance, discipline of staff and maintenance of cleanliness in offices

Karachi, November 04, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah paid surprise visit of CM Secretariat this morning to see the performance, discipline of staff and maintenance of cleanliness within their offices.

The Special Assistants Rashid Rabban and Waqar Mehdi, The Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch, Secretary on Universities and Boards Dr. Riaz Memon, Additional Secretary Administration Saeed Shaikh and other officers of secretariat were accompanied the Chief Minister during the visit. Talking on the occasion the Chief Minister strictly directed the officers for maintaining of punctuality, discipline, cleanliness and to ensure the conducive atmosphere and efficient deliveries to the masses. He directed the officers for early disposal of public welfare oriented summaries and his directives to resolve the grievances of the people so that people be benefited accordingly.

The Chief Minister Sindh said that the performance of the officers in Sindh was being closely watched through various means of communication including Press and media by him regularly. He said that his Govt was giving top priority to the maintenance of Law and order, improving the standard of Health, Educational Services to the people and protection of lives and properties of the people.

He said that he would also pay surprise visit of the offices specially, those belonging to law and order, (Police Stations) Education (Schools) and health (Hospitals) sector to ensure efficient delivering of the services to the people and added that those who found absent, irregular or defaulter would be taken to task.

The Chief Minister Sindh also directed the officers to expedite peace of the development works and not to compromise on its standar for which as many as 215 billion are being spent during the current financial year 2013-14. He said that he would also under take surprise visits of ongoing development schemes of any sector at any place in the province.

He said that those who found negligence in his/her performance or in irregularities would be taken to task. He said that team’s of monitoring and evaluation P and D deptt have already been dispatched to monitor the pace and quality of developments works in Sindh.

The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that various mega development projects of Infrastructure, Education and Health sector either have been completed or have been taken into hand and many such properious projects specially in the energy, Agriculture and mass transition sectors either in progress in pipeline. He said that by completion of all these projects, Sindh would be converted into a prosperous province of Pakistan.

The CM Sindh has also asked the commissioners and deputy commissioners to play their role in maintaining attendance and discipline in their respective Distt/Divisions and also to monitor ongoing development works in consultation with public representatives of the area. The Chief Minister Sindh who was also the president of the PPP Sindh Chapter directed the officers to be pro-active accessible and resolved the grievance of poor people.

He said that to serve the people without discrimination was the main motto of PPP and added that It was because of services of PPP, that people of Sindh always standed with PPP in every difficult and Time of Test.
