Srinagar, September 09, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has demanded an impartial inquiry into the killing of four persons by Indian troops in Shopian on Saturday.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said that the puppet administration did not need to order an inquiry. “We won’t accept any investigation by the administration as it can’t deliver any justice.
We demand an impartial probe into the killings,” he said. The veteran leader while referring to Zubin Mehta’s musical concert said that at a time when concert was on, unprovoked and unjustified firing took place in Shopian district in which four youth were killed.
“This has proved that situation in Kashmir is grim. German Ambassador and Zubin Mehta should apologize and give a message to world that people in Kashmir are being brutally massacred by Indian forces,” he said.
He said the German Ambassador and Zubin Mehta should understand that they had played music over the coffins of innocent Kashmiris. “The way you enjoyed musical concert shows that you have no sympathy for Kashmiris. You have left with bad impression,” he said.
Castigating the puppet Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, for his callous approach, Syed Ali Gilani said that Omar and his administration were enjoying the show when youth were killed in Shopian.
Terming people’s resentment and shutdown call an eye-opener and a referendum against the irresponsible behaviour of German government and the puppet administration, the veteran leader said that it had proved that the people of Kashmir would never allow anybody to play with their sacrifices
