Srinagar, October 02, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), has said that the puppet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s announcement of judicial probe into the Shopian killings is an attempt to hoodwink the Kashmiris.

APHC leader and the JKPM Senior Vice Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem in a statement issued in Jammu questioned the Chief Minister’s sincerity in ordering the judicial probe after more than three weeks of the incident.

He said that there was clear prima facie evidence against the Central Reserve Police (CRPF) that they killed all the five youth without any provocation. The APHC leader said that the people of Kashmir had no faith in the announcements of so-called inquiries time and again made by the authorities, as they always proved to be eyewash.

He said during the last 24 years the Indian armed forces in Kashmir have been on the killings spree in Kashmir and they have murdered thousands of innocent people in fake encounters, extra judicial killings and massacres without any fear of being punished or held responsible for committing heinous crimes against humanity.

He said Kashmiris have no doubt that killings in Gool, Mirkundal and Shopian are also going to meet the same fate. The JKPM asked the pro-India political parties in Kashmir that if they were really sincere in having an independent probe into the innocent killings in Kashmir they must support the APHC demand for conducting an international probe under the supervision of the United Nations.
