Srinagar, November 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the General Secretary of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has denounced the shifting of party leader, Amir Hamza, from Bandipora Police Station to Udhampur Jail in Jammu after booking him under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA).Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the police had arrested Amir Hamza some two weeks ago from his residence in Qoil Maqam and implicated him in an old fake case.

He said that a court in Srinagar approved his bail in the case and ordered his release but the authorities, violating the court orders, sent him to jail, which was highly condemnable.

He said that a youth, Sajjad Ahmad Butt, the son of a TeH activist, Ghulam Hassan Butt, of Nagam Chadoora, was detained a few days ago in the Humhama interrogation centre after he was summoned by the police. He said that Sajjad was released last year from jail after seven-month illegal detention. “His only sin is that he along with his father is working with Tehreek-e-Hurriyet,” Sehrai added.
