Srinagar, May 16, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has strongly denounced the forcible eviction of more than hundred Muslim families in Gole Gujral area of Jammu by the authorities. The APHC Chairman in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the authorities’ action as atrocious and communal.

“The way the dwellings of these families in presence of administration of Jammu division were demolished and destroyed and the dwellers thrown out is highly condemnable and reflects the communal mindset of the authorities,” he added.

The Mirwaiz said that it was duty of the puppet administration to rehabilitate the affected families with dignity, adding that they were rendered homeless and subjected to various sufferings only because they were Muslims.

Meanwhile, the APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar denounced the continued illegal detention of Hurriyet leader, Zafar Akbar Butt, and hundreds of youth, who were arrested during and after the recently concluded so-called elections in the territory. He demanded immediate release of all unlawfully detained Kashmiris.
