Karachi, April 27, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Southern Regional Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is organizing a pre-budget seminar on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 4:15 PM at Karachi Marriott Hotel (Crystal Ballroom) to discuss and deliberate on the budgetary proposals of ICAP for the year 2015/16. Senior officials from the Federal Board of Revenue, members of the Institute and representatives from Capital Markets 69: Industry are invited to share their suggestions and proposals for the upcoming budget.
Masoud Ali Naqvi, Chairman, Tax Reforms Commission will be the session chairman and Naeem Akhter Sheikh, Chairman, ICAP Taxation Committee, Asif Kasbati, Member, ICAP Taxation Committee, Saquib Shirazi, CEO, Atlas Honda Limited and Sakib Sherani, Founder and CEO, Macroeconomic Insights Private Limited will be the speakers at the seminar.
A budgetary process that functions well is crucial in development of sustainable fiscal policies and economic growth. In the backdrop of changing economic circumstances of Pakistan, the Federal Budget for 2015/16 has gained overwhelming importance for economic growth. The need for an open dialogue amongst policy makers, professionals and people from business and trade is the need of the time.
