On the instructions of caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the decision to hold night sports events in major cities including Lahore during Ramadan

Lahore, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): On the instructions of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, it has been decided to hold sports competitions at night in major cities including Lahore during Ramadan. Night sports events will be held from 10th of Ramadan. Laho formality in big cities there will be tape ball cricket tournaments, football and hockey night competitions. Mohsin Naqvi announced the organization of night sports events during the ceremony held in honour of the organizers of Jashan Baharan and the players who took positions in sports competitions.

Mohsin Naqvi gave the checks of prize money to the organizers of Jashan Baharan and the players who took positions in the sports competitions and certificates to the organizers at the Chief Minister’s office. Mohsin Naqvi presented a check of Rs 10 lakh to athlete Aamir Sohail for securing the first position in the 42 km marathon. 5 lakhs were given to Mysterious Ahmed for the second position in the marathon and 3 lakhs checks were given to Abdul Rasheed for the third position.

50 thousand to Aamir Abbas for winning the fin race, Sami A check of Rs 35,000 was given to Allah and Rs 25,000 to Rasama Hassan. For winning the women’s marathon competition, Rabia Ashiq was given a check of Rs.50 thousand, Khadija Qadir Rs.35 thousand and Kabra Sadiq was given a check of Rs.25 thousand. Ali Ilyas was given Rs 4 lakh, Abdul Basit Rs 2 lakh and Aqib Shah Rs 1 lakh for 42 km cycling.

Women cycling winner Rajia Shabbir was given a check of Rs 50 thousand, Razia Hanif Rs 35 thousand and Zainab Rizwan Rs 25 thousand. Mohsen Naqvi gave a check of Rs 3 lakh to Adnan Tyranwala for winning the Rustam Punjab Dangal. Mohsin Naqvi said that the participation of thousands of citizens in the celebrations of Baharan is welcome.
