Lahore, January 18, 2017 (PPI-OT): Prof. Dr. Nizamuddin, Chairman Higher Education Commission, launched the Chinese language book published by Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) at a ceremony presided over by Mr. Wang Zihai, President PCJCCI. The book titled as “Let’s Learn Chinese together” has been written by Ms. Nuzhat, the head Chinese language department PCJCCI under the direct supervision and personal interest of Mr. Wang Zihai.
Chairman Higher Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Nizamuddin appeared as Chief Guest of the ceremony and Dr. Iqbal Qureshi vice president University of south Asia was the guest of honour While other dignitaries included Mr. Moazzam Ghurki, Vice President PCJCCI, senior Chinese language instructors, Muhammad Azam, Mr. Shakeel lone, Zahid Zafar, Shahzad Rafiq, Muhammad Ali Ghumman and Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI. The topper students of PCJCCI Chinese language training program, also attended the ceremony.
Dr. Nizamuddin, delivering address on this occasion, highly appreciated the endeavours of PCJCCI for bridging up the language barrier. He said that the platforms like PCJCCI, which are promoting and facilitating common masses for acquiring Chinese language knowledge are the great contributors of growth in currently growing relations between China and Pakistan.
He mentioned that PCJCCI is working exclusively for the noble cause of empowering youth with no commercial benefit at all, and this must be acknowledged open heartedly. Dr. Nizamuddin expressed that he is inspired by the enthusiasm of PCJCCI officials regarding the publication of book, ‘I am confident that the students will find this book, the best Chinese language learning book in the market and they will get colossal benefit’ said Dr. Nizamuddin. He added that with everything available at one place, students will be able to harvest distinguished results.
Mr. Wang Zihai in his speech, applauded the deep interest shown by Pakistani students in learning Chinese language. He said that there were thousands of Pakistani students studying in Chinese institutions, who were facing language barrier in their studies. He hoped that current Chinese language programs being run in Pakistan would help the youngsters take a leap into the future prospects. “We have put all our sincere efforts in the process of making this publication effective under the direct supervision of our able teacher, Ms. Nuzhat Farooq, Head of Chinese Publications department , it’s a big achievement for the whole team of PCJCCI” said Mr. Wang Zihai.
Moazzam Ghurki, SVP PCJCCI also addressed the ceremony with the words of appreciation for the students associated with the Chinese language training program of chamber. Moazzam Ghurki deliberated that to avail business and professional opportunities created by CPEC, PCJCCI started oriental level Chinese language program in collaboration with TEVTA in August 2015, with primarily only two classes at main campus TEVTA which are now proliferated in nearly half of the province of Punjab. He said that the classes were initiated to invigorate Pakistani business, working force, and professionals from all walks of life to bridge the communication gap between Chinese investors and local people. To further fortify this noble cause, we have been able to introduce an effective Chinese language learning book titled as, “Let’s Learn Chinese Together” for the preparation of HSK system of examination, said Moazzam Ghurki.
According to Ms. Nuzhat, the author of book, Let’s Learn Chinese together is the best book to buy if you want to connect with the Chinese Civilization by acquiring knowledge of Chinese Language. The book was regarded by her as the collection of her entire language learning experience in China. She said that her book will sufficiently meet the needs of oriental and advanced level Chinese learning.
It was observed that the Promotion of Chinese language in Pakistan will lead towards formation of an effective economic block in the region through a long-term partnership of Pakistan and China in various fields of trade and Industry. It is notable that the purpose of such language programs is to make the already technically skilled labour force of Pakistan more acceptable in the Chinese market. Chinese business leaders were taking the similar measures in China to acquaint the Chinese people with Urdu language.
