Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists strongly condemned the manhandling of Journalists in Mirpurkhas

Karachi: Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists strongly condemned the manhandling of Journalists’ and cameramen by a Police Officer. According to the detail ASP city Mirpurkhas Usman Bajwa manhandled media men and terming them blackmailers during the ceremony of distribution of Eid Gifts and relief goods on behalf of Saudi government held on Friday at TMA building Jhuddo town.

The journalists of Mirpurkhas and Jhuddo have raised slogans against the allegedly involved ASP city Mirpurkhas Usman Bajwa and held protest demonstration in presence of Federal Minister for Information Firdoos Ashique Awan.

PFUJ President Pervaiz Shaukat and Secretary General Amin Yousuf strongly condemned the manhandling and termed it as an attack on freedom of speech and freedom of the Press, Amin Yousuf demanded the Governor Sindh, Chief Minister and Provincial Home Minister to take action against ASP Usman Bajwa, otherwise PFUJ will have no choice except to announce country wide protest.
