Pakistan Football Federation President says he was shocked on sad demise of Chaudary Muhammad Amjad, former National Team player

Lahore, May 24, 2013 (PPI-OT): The entire Pakistan Football Family was today traumatized by the sad demise of *Chaudary Muhammad Amjad*, former Pakistan National Team player and currently the President of District Football Association, Pakpattan who died after an attack of stroke on Friday morning. He was 50. From officials to sports fans, from journalists to sport lovers, all are grieved at this devastating news.

According to the press release issued here by Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), President PFF, Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat in his condolence message said that he was deeply shocked on the sad demise of *Chuardary Muhammad Amjad*.

He will remain in our thoughts and prayers. *Chuardary Muhammad Amjad* was such a kind person, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The loss to the sport is irreparable, and it will be very difficult to fill the vacuity created by the passing away of such a great football player of Pakistan at this moment.

Secretary General PFF, Lt. Col. ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi T1 (M) also said “I am deeply shocked on the sad demise of *Chuardary Muhammad Amjad*. He was one of the best sportsmen and good organizer of Football in his area. I wish to express my deep sorrow, and sincerely sympathize with his family in this bereaved moment.”

He was currently the President of DFA (District Football Association) Pakpattan. He was also the Organizing Secretary of the National U-16 Championship 2013 which will be organized for the first time in Arifwala, District Pakpattan. He was totally motivated and committed to organize this mega event in this home city from 7th June to 17th June, 2013. This is poignant moment for the football family of Pakistan.

He served the Pakistan National Team and Al-Hilal FC, Ariwala as a remarkable Midfielder from 1978 – 1996. He served as the Coach and Manager of Punjab Football team.
