Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation will start 3 housing projects soon: Minister

Islamabad, April 10, 2014 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Housing and Works Barrister Usman Ibrahim has given approval in principle to initiate 3 housing projects in Islamabad today.

While presiding over a meeting of PHAF directors regarding its performance, the Minister stated that it is commendable that PHAF is successfully accomplishing its stalled projects. The Minister was briefed that PHAF has almost completed its Lahore projects of Wafaqi colony and UET shops. Moreover, other projects are almost 85% completed and some are just about to be handed over.

The Minister appreciated the proposal of construction of new housing projects in Islamabad. The Minister said that it is admirable that new housing projects consisting of around 1000 housing units would be launched, this initiative will assist to overcome housing shortfall in the country.

It is pertinent to mention that these housing units will consists mainly of flats for low-income groups and federal government employees and general public. The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary Housing and Works and Directors of PHAF.
