Lahore, February 21, 2014 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) has urged SNGPL authorities to ensure implementation of the notification regarding restoration of supply of gas to the industry as the industry could not get the supply till Friday evening.
In a press statement issued here Friday, Chairman PIAF Malik Tahir Javed said that the business community appreciates Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif who took a prompt action and directed the restoration of gas to the industrial sector but unfortunately the authorities could not restore the supply in given time.
He said that gas was an important raw material of the industry and availability of a single day even causes a great loss. Chairman PIAF said that business doing people were already suffering a lot due to various internal and external challenges while suspension of gas supply was adding fuel to the fire.
PIAF Chairman said that industry would more badly suffered if gas supply is not restored right now. He said that gas load shedding has brought economic activities to a grinding halt so the government should give priority to all industries in order to revive economic activities in the country.
Malik Tahir Javed also demanded of the sui gas officials to keep gas supply continue even after 9th March 2014 that is last date of gas supply according to the issued notification.
