Pakistan Meteorological Department predict widespread rains/snow during first week of February

Islamabad, January 31, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted widespread rains/snow in the country during first week of February 2013.

Spokesman of PMD informed that an active weather system presently giving rains over different parts of Middle East is likely to enter Pakistan during the coming weekend. Under the influence of this weather system widespread rain with snowfall over the hills is expected in the country, particularly in Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper parts of Punjab and Kashmir.

The barani areas of Baluchistan, KP and Punjab may receive good rains during the period.
