Karachi, October 20, 2012 (PPI-OT): Mr. Naeem Yahya Mir, CEO and MD of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the nations largest Energy Company received the Best CEO Award for the Oil and Gas sector at the 2nd Annual CEO/CFO/CIO Award ceremony. The event was organized by Mass Human Resource Services in collaboration with Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) and Pakistan Standard and Quality Authority (PSQCA).
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Naeem shared his vision of making PSO an energy integrated company and ensure lowest cost delivery of POL products to the end consumers. He plans to follow success models like that of Petronas, Petrochina and Indian Oil Corporation and plug their respective business models at PSO.
During his speech, Mr. Naeem also stated his intention of making PSO the No. 1 company in Pakistan within a period of two years, a regional player in four years and a global fortune 500 company within a period of six years. In order to achieve these goals, he emphasized the need for following ethical business practices and implementing good corporate governance in the organization.
