Pakistan Telecommunication Company’s system being up-graded by improving it in modern way while at some places in Karachi security issues would be resolved: Walid Irshaid

Karachi, March 20, 2014 (PPI-OT): Chief Executive Officer and President PTCL, Walid Irshaid said that PTCL system is being up-graded by improving their system in modern way while at some places in Karachi, security issues would be resolved. This is said by him in a luncheon meeting at KATI. Mr.Omar Al-Suwadi, Member Advisory Board, Etisalat-PTCL.

Mr.Saeed Ul Sharhan, President All Karachi Industrial Alliance, Mian Zahid Hussain, President-KATI, Syed Farukh Mazhar,Chairman Telecommunication Standing Committee, Shahid Jawed Qureshi, Immediate Past Chairman Mohammad Zubair Chhaya, Senior Vice President, Hasham A.Razzak, Vice President Faraz-ur-Rehman, Former Chairman Syed Johar Ali Qandhari and Farhan ur Rehman have expressed their views, while Former Chairman-KATI, Gulzar Firoz, Chairman SITE Super Highway Association, Jawed Ali Ghori, Chairman F.B.Area Association, Shaikh Mohammad Tehseen, EVP PTCL, Zaman Gulzar, EVP Shamimuddin and others were present at the occasion.

Mr.Walid Irshaid said that PTCL is providing better facilities and cheap call rates and Etisalat Group has expressed their interest in 4-G Licenses so that Pakistan has get benefits from latest technology. He said that latest service of PTCL including Evo, Nitro Cloud, for resolving signal issues in DSL, PTCL has installed 187 BTS while further 100 BTS would be installed.

President All Karachi Industrial Alliance, Mian Zahid Hussain said that it was very difficult to get telephone facilities in houses, factories and industries in Pakistan but PTCL has been provided telephone facility just in a hour which feels a dream come true. He said that PTCL could further improve by recruiting trained staff at lower level and could make it further improved. He said that it is being provided facilities through latest technology in the world and PTCL has facing the challenges in the race of mobile phone companies.

President KATI, Syed Farukh Mazhar said that performance of PTCL is much better than past and present team of PTCL is showing better performance but it is necessary to improve their network in few places of Karachi. He said that Pakistan and UAE have friendly and brotherly relationship and PTCL should convert into local call from Pakistan to Dubai by making it cheap due to which revenue would be increased.

Chairman Telecommunication Standing Committee KATI, Shahid Jawed Qureshi said that we have some issues with PTCL devices specially Evo, Nitro Cloud, signals issue of DSL and to resolve it will be taken 5 days. We are facing difficulties of signals in Karachi due to installation of other towers instead of BTS towers. Trained staffs are acted upon by selling products of DSL and IPTV but they are not trying to improve it. 3-G and 4-G Technologies are introducing in Pakistan.
