Karachi, August 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$14,340.6 million on 25July2014.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: –
i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 9,275.7 million
ii) Net foreign reserves held by banks : US$ 5,064.9 million
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$ 14,340.6 million
During the week ending 25July2014, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$123 million to US$9,276 million compared to US$9,399 million in the previous week.
During the week ending 25July 2014, SBP has made payments of US$70 million on account of external debt servicing and other official payments. SBP did not receive any significant inflows during this week.
