Karachi, June 30, 2012 (PPI-OT): The paperwork for phase-II of the Mehran Highway project has been completed, Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan said on Friday.
“The construction of Mehran Highway will help boost industrial growth,” Governor Ebad noted while talking to Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Oe at the Governor’s House. The Japanese consul general in Karachi was also present on the occasion.
The governor appreciated the Japanese government’s assistance for the project. Dr Ebad said infrastructure development would help ease pressure on the busy thoroughfares of the city.
He said more investors should come to the city and benefit from the opportunities it presented.
The Japanese ambassador assured further assistance on behalf of his government.
