Lahore, July 03, 2020 (PPI-OT): Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) conducted its 3rd Online Business Forum-Industrial Expo and Online Video Conference few days back in collaboration with the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang and Shandong Government of China. The online video conference was also attended by Mr. Hussain Haider, Consul General Shanghai. Mr. Zarak Khan, President PCJCCI, said that under the prevailing global pandemic it is important strengthen the bilateral trade between two nations.
The current initiative has been taken to digitally link our member companies with Chinese enterprises of electronics, auto-spare parts, machinery, metal, industrial parts, and hardware primarily to strengthen our industry under the promotional package of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, he said and informed that the concept of this online business interaction is to provide contemporary solutions for carrying out normal business operations by avoiding physical concentration of business people. He further informed that, Zhejiang and Shandong province of China had provided the fullest assistance to connect around 170 different Chinese companies with the Pakistani counterparts.
Commenting on the video conference, Mr. Moazzam Ghurki, Senior Vice President PCJCCI informed that In Pakistan Digital market does not have many professionals and this field is still relatively new. We are directly connecting the companies from both countries and providing them chance for business match making. He especially thanked the companies; Shandong Hada Electric Co. Ltd, Qingdao Cables, Shandong Shifeng Group Co. Ltd, Jinan Running Machinery, Leba Industries. Co Ltd from China, Haier Pakistan (PVT) Ltd, NISHAT Group, ZRK Group, NESPAK Pakistan, Laboratories (Pvt). Ltd and many other Pakistani companies actively participated in this online business forum, he said.
Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI, talking on this occasion, informed that PCJCCI would organize more conference of this nature in collaboration with Chinese Commerce Departments. He told that more than 170 companies were connected with each other through video conference and engaged at massive scale.
