Planning Minister underlines need of adopting market- driven approach

Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal says time has come to adopt market- driven approach keeping in view the global trends.

In this regard, a detailed briefing was given to the Minister in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The Minister directed the stakeholders to step up the export with China from current trade of three billion to 30-40 billion dollars.

He further stated that the Ministry of Commerce should align with other departments to devise a strategy on increasing trade with China.

Meanwhile, the Minister also reviewed the projects of the Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiatives under Public Sector Development Programme.
