Newly appointed Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir held separate meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Prime Minister congratulated Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir and expressed his best wishes for their new responsibilities.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that the armed forces under the leadership of both Lieutenant Generals will effectively deal with the challenges facing the national security and continue to play an important role in completely eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile, in a tweet, the Prime Minister congratulated Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee-designate Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Chief of the Army Staff-designate Lieutenant General Asim Munir on their appointment.
The Prime Minister conveyed best wishes for them.
