Policeman injured in axe assault in Pattan

Srinagar, August 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, unidentified assailants hit policeman with axe leaving him grievously injured and decamped with his service weapon from the spot in Pattan area of Baramulla district.

The incident triggered panic in the town as injured policeman fell on ground bleeding. He was rushed to hospital where his condition is stated to be serious. After the incident, police cordoned the area and launched hunt for the assailants and the missing weapon.
