Like other areas of the country, preparations are in full-swing in Karachi to celebrate country’s Independence Day on 14th of this month.
In this regard, flags can be seen fluttering at every house while roads, streets and important buildings including government buildings are being decorated with national flags.
Special programmes have been arranged to mark the day by various government, educational, social and political organizations to highlight different aspects of the freedom movement.
Meanwhile, preparations for celebrating Independence Day of the motherland have reached their climax across Balochistan including the provincial metropolis, Quetta.
Colourful stalls for selling National Flags, stickers, caps, T-shirts and bands printed with national flag and other beautiful articles have been set up at various crowded places in the cities.
Children, youth and elderly people are taking keen interest in buying these articles in order to celebrate the Independence Day with the true spirit of patriotism.
Balochistan Government has decided to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day with traditional enthusiasm this year.
Different religious, political parties and cultural and social organisations have also worked out special colourful programmes with the relevance of the day.
