President Mamnoon Hussain says that government attaches top priority to socio-economic and political development of Federally Administered Tribal Areas

Islamabad, September 16, 2013 (PPI-OT): President Mamnoon Hussain has stated that the present government attaches top priority to the socio-economic and political development of FATA and that all possible measures will be taken to bring the people of tribal areas into the mainstream of national life.

The President said this while chairing a briefing meeting on the status of law and order and development in FATA here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr today. Those present during the meeting included among others Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Shaukatullah, Mr. Muhammad Shehzad Arbab, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Arbab Muhammad Arif, Additional Chief Secretary FATA and Mr. Amjad Nazir, Secretary SAFRON, Mr. Himayatullah Khan, Secretary to the President and Mr. Ahmed Farooq, Additional Secretary were also present during the meeting.

Mr. Arbab Muhammad Arif, ACS FATA, gave a detailed briefing on the status of law and order situation, developmental projects, educational activities and creation of employment opportunities for youth in the area and the progress on implementation of various reforms in FATA.
