President urges need to make institution of Ombudsman more effective

Islamabad, July 14, 2020 (PPI-OT): President Dr Arif Alvi has urged the need to make the institution of Ombudsman more effective by amending the existing laws so as to provide expeditious relief to the common man in resolving their grievances.

Addressing the Federal Ombudsmen conference in Islamabad today (Tuesday), he also directed the Federal Ombudsmen to enhance their outreach to remote areas of the country. The President advised the participants to launch a media campaign aiming to create awareness among people about the role of Ombudsmen in providing swift relief to the people.
