Islamabad, November 30, 2013 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif here Saturday congratulated the newly elected President of CPNE, Mr. Mujeeb ur Rehman Shami, Senior Vice President, Mr. Ilyas Shakir, Secretary General Dr. Jabbar Khattak, Vice President Tahir Farooq, Vice President (Baluchistan) Siddique Baloch, Vice President (Punjab) Awais Khushnood and all other office bearers.
The Prime Minister, in his message of felicitation to the newly elected office bearers said that their election to important positions was a manifestation of trust and confidence reposed in their leadership and professional capabilities by members of the Council.
Prime Minister hoped that during the tenure of newly elected CPNE representatives, relations between media and the government would be further strengthened. He also expressed the hope that the newly elected office bearers would play their due role in promoting the cause of free and responsible media in the country.
