Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, visited Line of Control

Rawalpindi, September 06, 2019 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Pakistan Imran khan and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, visited Line of Control today on eve of Defence and Martyrs day also declared as day of solidarity with Kashmiris. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Defence Minister Mr Pervez Khattak and Chairman Kashmir Committee Syed Fakhar Imam accompanied PM.

PM was briefed on the ongoing situation on LOC. PM interacted with local victims of Indian cease fire violations (CFVs). Later PM interacted with troops. PM lauded the state of readiness, effective response to Indian CFVs and high morale of the troops.

Talking to families of shaheeds and injured PM lauded their decades of resilience. PM said that Indian deliberate targeting of unarmed civilians in AJ and K and continued siege of innocent Kashmiris in IOJ and K are worst examples of the human rights violations. PM reiterated that Pakistan firmly stands with Kashmiris for their right of self-determination. He said that while our current efforts are to expose fascist Indian regime to the world, our Armed Forces remain fully capable and prepared to thwart any Indian misadventure or aggression.
