Russia has expressed its desire to strengthen political and military ties with China.
In a video link, Russian president Vladimir Putin told his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping that in the context of growing geopolitical tensions, the importance is growing of Russian-Chinese strategic partnership is growing to work as a stabilising factor.
He said we share the same views on the causes, course and logic of the ongoing transformation of the global geopolitical landscape.
Russian leader also invited Chinese President on a state visit in Moscow.
Chinese President Xi said China is ready to increase strategic cooperation with Russia against what he called a “difficult” situation in the world at large.
