Karachi, August 25, 2014 (PPI-OT): TDAP Chief Executive, Mr. S. M. Muneer accompanied by his two Directors-General, Mr. Qamar Anjum, DG (America) and Dr. Yousuf, DG (Asia) visited SITE Association of Industry on Monday to hold a meeting with the office bearers of the Association.
On the occasion, SITE Association of Industry’s Patron-in-Chief, Mr. Siraj Kassam Teli while discussing the issues of the industrialists and particularly of exporters, assured full cooperation to the TDAP Chief in implementation of TDAP’s positive policies. He stressed the need to work with honesty and truthfulness in order to strengthen the common cause of the business community.
In his welcome address, Mr. Younus M. Bashir, Chairman SITE Association while congratulating Mr. S. M. Muneer for his appointment on the important position of Chief Executive of TDAP, assured him full cooperation of SITE Association towards meeting the challenges especially of increase in exports. He hoped that with his rich experience, the TDAP Chief would be able to contribute for the enhancement of our country’s exports.
Mr. M. Zubair Motiwala, former Chairman of SITE Association and Sindh Board of Investment urged the TDAP to play its special role in streamlining the procedural bottlenecks that delay the process of exports. He demanded the TDAP Chief to take concrete steps for the promotion of trade especially exports trade of the country.
Later, Mr. S. M. Muneer, TDAP Chief discussed various measures and activities to double the exports of Pakistan. He assured all the participants of the meeting that he would discharge his responsibilities honestly and advised the business community to bring their issues related to TDAP in his knowledge.
TDAP Chief also assured the House that he would invest all his energies towards enhancing the exports of Pakistan and for that matter he is working day and night and is trying to address the grass-roots causes of the exporters to give them a conducive and enabling environment where they can work and produce quality goods to compete in the world market. He also assured that TDAP would work to uplift the image of logo “Made in Pakistan” to an honouable level.
The visit of the TDAP Chief was his self-initiated efforts to activate manufacturers and exporters through trade bodies. He was of the view that TDAP and SITE Association being the trade body jointly have to play their vital role in uplifting the image of Pakistan in terms of its overall economy, trade and industry.
