Srinagar, January 23, 2016 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of United Jihad Council (UJC), Syed Salahuddin has paid rich tributes to the victims of Gaw Kadal, Handwara and Kupwara massacres and expressed anguish over the silence maintained by the international community regarding Kashmir. Syed Salahuddin in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the international community had lost its credibility in Muslim world. “The dual policies pursued by the world community will have serious ramifications,” he said and urged the world powers to review their policies and fulfil their promises made with the freedom-loving people of Kashmir.
Syed Salahuddin also expressed sympathy with Mujahid Commander, Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar whose brother-in-law, Sirajuddin Farooqi, was subjected to custodial disappearance by Indian troops in January 1992. “Besides Farooqi the whereabouts of more than 10,000 Kashmiri people are still unknown. Farooqi family made sacrifices for the sake of Kashmir movement,” he said and reiterated that liberation struggle would be continued till it reached its logical conclusion.
